PENTYLENE GLYCOL

Le pentylene glycol est un composé synthétique appartenant à la famille des glycols, utilisé principalement dans les produits cosmétiques et les soins pour la peau pour ses propriétés hydratantes, antimicrobiennes et de stabilisation. Il agit à la fois comme un agent humectant, qui attire et retient l’eau dans la peau, et comme un agent antimicrobien, contribuant à maintenir la stabilité des formulations en empêchant la croissance de micro-organismes.

Pentylene glycol is generally of plant origin, and can come from raw materials such as corn or sugar cane. In our skincare products, it has several functions: as a solvent to dissolve the other ingredients, as a moisturising and humectant agent to maintain optimal hydration of the skin and as a preservative to extend the shelf life of the mist.
