Le propanediol est principalement d’origine végétale, produit par fermentation de sucre de maïs. Il offre de nombreux avantages, notamment pour l’hydratation de la peau et l’amélioration des formulations cosmétiques.

Propanediol is a natural humectant, meaning it maintains the water content of a cosmetic in its packaging and on the skin. It is ecologically sustainable because it is derived from green biotechnology, most often manufactured from the fermentation of corn sugar, or synthetically. It has excellent sensory qualities, making textures more pleasant. This humectant is compatible with ORGANIC formulations (COSMOS standard).

We use it in several of our products: intimate balancing moisturising gel, perfecting hydrating emulsion and smoothing body massage serum.
