PROBIOTICS COMPLEX

What is a probiotic complex?
A pre- and postbiotic complex combines prebiotics, which are fiber and other nutrients that serve as “food” for the beneficial bacteria in the intestine, and postbiotics, the bioactive by-products resulting from the activity of these probiotics. By acting together, these components create an environment conducive to the maintenance and balance of the intestinal microbiota, thereby improving digestive health, the immune system and general well-being. This complex of compounds promotes good intestinal health without requiring the presence of live bacteria, making these products more stable and easier to use in dietary supplements.
Prebiotics nourish the good bacteria in our microbiomes and postbiotics make them up (good bacteria). Our pre- and postbiotic complexes have been chosen for their ability to strengthen the skin or intimate microbiome, therefore the natural shield of the skin or the intimate flora (all the bacteria naturally present on the skin) and the epidermal barrier: the skin is therefore protected and sensitive areas soothed.
The prebiotics in our formula support the expression of enzymes that stimulate the production of ceramides which are lipids naturally present in our skin. It is thanks in particular to these ceramides that the skin has a “young” and toned appearance!
To maintain a good composition of the skin microbiota, strengthen the skin's defenses and improve fine lines and skin texture.
The complex of pre and postbiotics also allows maintain a balanced pH of the vaginal flora and strengthen its good composition. It therefore helps to restore and preserve healthy and balanced vaginal flora.
Where does the pre- and postbiotic complex come from?
Prebiotics are plant fibers and oligosaccharides found naturally in foods like onions, garlic, bananas, asparagus and whole grains. Postbiotics, for their part, come from the fermentation of these fibers by beneficial bacteria in the intestine. This combination of pre- and postbiotics is often formulated and concentrated in dietary supplements to optimize their synergistic effects. Pre- and postbiotic complexes are made from plant and food sources, and some are obtained through controlled fermentation to ensure effective levels of bioactive compounds.
Properties and active ingredients
A complex of pre- and postbiotics is rich in bioactive compounds that play a key role in gut and immune health. Here are the main properties and components:
- Prebiotics (fiber and oligosaccharides) : These compounds nourish the good bacteria in the intestine, promoting their growth and activity, and contribute to the balance of the microbiota.
- Short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) : Postbiotics from fermentation, such as butyrate, propionate and acetate, nourish intestinal cells and strengthen the intestinal barrier.
- Natural antimicrobials : Postbiotics include antimicrobial peptides that help fight pathogenic bacteria, reducing the risk of infections and intestinal imbalances.
- Antioxidants and bioactive metabolites : These compounds protect gut cells against oxidative stress and inflammation, contributing to better overall health.
What are the benefits of a pre- and postbiotic complex?
The complex of pre- and postbiotics offers a comprehensive approach to supporting gut and immune health. Here are its main advantages:
- Improved balance of the intestinal microbiota : By nourishing beneficial bacteria with prebiotics and adding the effects of postbiotics, this complex contributes to a balanced and healthy microbiota, essential for good digestion and general well-being.
- Strengthening the intestinal barrier : Short-chain fatty acids produced by postbiotics help strengthen the intestinal lining, reducing intestinal permeability and protecting the body against toxins and other pathogens.
- Immune support : Prebiotics and postbiotics promote the production of immune cells and strengthen the body's defense, helping to reduce infections and chronic inflammation.
- Anti-inflammatory effects : The complex of pre- and postbiotics helps soothe intestinal inflammation, improving digestive comfort and reducing the symptoms of intestinal disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome.
- Alternative without live bacteria : Unlike probiotics, this complex does not contain live bacteria, which makes it stable and easy to transport, and allows people sensitive to probiotics to benefit from its benefits.
- Strengthens the skin's defenses / improves fine lines in the skin
- Protects skin in sensitive areas
- Gives a young and toned appearance to the skin
- Preserves healthy vaginal flora
How to consume a complex of pre- and postbiotics?
Pre- and postbiotic complexes are available in several forms for convenient and effective consumption:
- Food supplements : Available in capsules, tablets or powder, pre- and postbiotic complexes can be taken daily to improve intestinal health. The recommended dose depends on the product, but it is generally advisable to follow the manufacturer's instructions for optimal effect.
- Functional foods : Some products enriched with pre- and postbiotics, such as fermented drinks and functional bars, are available to easily integrate these compounds into the daily diet.
Note : The pre- and postbiotic complexes are stable and can be consumed at any time of the day. However, to maximize their absorption and effectiveness, it is advisable to take them with a meal containing natural fibers.
Any side effects?
The complex of pre- and postbiotics is generally well tolerated, but certain adverse effects may appear, particularly in the event of excessive consumption:
- Bloating and gas : Prebiotic fibers can cause bloating or gas in some people, especially when starting to take them. It is advisable to start with a lower dose to assess tolerance.
- Mild digestive discomfort : In sensitive individuals, the complex may cause temporary digestive discomfort, such as cramps or stomach upset.
- Individual sensitivity : Although rare, some people may be sensitive to specific components of the complex. If in doubt, it is recommended to consult a healthcare professional.
