What is lemon balm?

The melissa (Melissa officinalis), also called "lemon balm", is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Lamiaceae family. Known for its delicate scent reminiscent of lemon, it has been used since Antiquity in herbal medicine for its soothing and revitalizing properties.
