Our product provides 500% of the NRV for vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), i.e. 25 µg or 1,000 IU per day. This is a physiologically targeted intake, in particular supporting the maintenance of normal bones.

In most of our other products, vitamin D is present at 100% of the NRV: there, it complements the formula and supports its overall effectiveness.

Vitamin D can therefore be present in several supplements at the same time. What matters is the total daily intake. For adults, EFSA sets a tolerable upper intake level of 100 µg per day, i.e. 4,000 IU, from all sources combined, outside of medically supervised situations.

So our intake of 1,000 IU can generally be combined with another supplement providing 100% of the NRV (5 µg / 200 IU), in a healthy adult.

However, if you are also taking a high-dose vitamin D ampoule or a prescribed treatment, it's best to seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist to adjust the dose and frequency accordingly. A blood test for vitamin D levels can also be carried out when indicated.
