Gluconolactone belongs to the group of acids known as “PHAs” (Poly-Hydroxi Acids), these are the acids reputed to be the gentlest in cosmetics. They gently exfoliate the skin, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines, brown spots and other skin imperfections.

Used as a humectant, it is particularly recommended for dry and sensitive skin, as it helps retain water in the skin. It’s also a great moisturiser and antioxidant. That’s why we chose it in our Perfecting Hydrating Emulsion and Smoothing Body Massage Serum.

It’s also an active ingredient that improves pH control, which is very important in our Intime Gel, where it’s important to maintain a slightly acidic pH. As we age, the vaginal pH tends to become increasingly acidic.
