SYNTHETIC VITAMIN B1

SYNTHETIC VITAMIN B1

METABOLISES⎪ SOOTHES ⎪ SUPPORTS

Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine, is an often overlooked vitamin that is reputed to boost good mood. Indeed, it is often referred to as the ‘mood vitamin’ or ‘optimism vitamin‘.

In addition to its effects on mood, vitamin B1 plays an essential role in our metabolism and is considered an indispensable substance by the WHO. And with good reason! Vitamin B1 enables fats, proteins and, above all, carbohydrates to be converted into energy. Nerve cells ‘feed’ exclusively on carbohydrates, so this vitamin is essential for maintaining intellectual capacity and, more generally, for the proper functioning of our cerebral system!

It also has antioxidant properties, enabling cells to protect themselves against damage caused by free radicals. It also helps the immune system to function properly.

But where do we find it? Well, in many of our foods, such as rolled oats, seeds and oilseeds, pulses, wholemeal bread, brown rice, poultry, eggs, pork, etc.

However, this is a heat-sensitive vitamin that can be destroyed at around 100°C. So it’s best to opt for gentle cooking methods, such as steaming or cooking in very little water, to preserve as much of the vitamin B1 content as possible.

In our Serenity Essentials, vitamin B1 is synthetic. We have made this choice for reasons of dosage. A natural vitamin B1 would have taken up too much space in our tablets.

ITS BENEFITS:

  • Helps maintain a balanced metabolism for less fatigue and more energy
  • Helps the nervous system to function properly, reducing stress and calming the nerves
  • Keeps the heart healthy for better blood circulation and less risk of certain cardiovascular diseases
