SYNTHETIC VITAMIN B12
PRODUCES ⎪ REGULATES ⎪ PROTECTS
Vitamin B12, or cobalamin due to its association with cobalt, plays a crucial role in many of our body’s functions. It acts as an essential coenzyme in transmethylation reactions and the metabolism of carbohydrates and fatty acids.
It plays a key role in the formation of red blood cells (haematopoiesis) and DNA synthesis. It is also necessary for the proper functioning of the nervous system, helping to maintain mental health and prevent neurological disorders. More specifically, it is involved in the formation of the myelin sheath that surrounds the nerves.
It also supports the production of neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine and dopamine, which are essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system and for maintaining a stable mood. We have therefore chosen it, in synergy with vitamins B1, B3 and B5, to support the nervous system and help maintain emotional stability by maintaining the synthesis of neurotransmitters.
But where do we find it? In all animal products: meat, fish, eggs and dairy products. People following a vegan diet or with reduced absorption of vitamin B12, such as the elderly or those suffering from digestive problems, may require supplements to cover their needs.
We should also note that vitamin B12 is stable to cooking and is not affected by heat.
In our MY Serenity Essentials, vitamin B12 is synthetic. We made this choice for reasons of dosage. A natural vitamin B12 would have taken up too much space in our tablets.
