Vitamine B5



Vitamin B5, also known as pantothenic acid, is a vitamin that must be provided by our diet as it is not synthesised at all by our body.

It plays an essential role in our body’s energy metabolism. It is involved in many of the chemical reactions needed to produce energy from the carbohydrates, fats and proteins we consume. Vitamin B5 is also necessary for the synthesis of fatty acids, steroid hormones and certain neurotransmitters.

In addition to its role in metabolism, vitamin B5 plays an important role in skin health. It promotes healing, helps maintain skin hydration and helps regulate sebum production. It can help improve the appearance of the skin, reduce inflammation and promote healthy skin.

Vitamin B5 is also beneficial for hair health. It can strengthen hair and prevent hair loss, improve shine and promote hair growth.

In addition, vitamin B5 supports the proper functioning of the nervous system. It is involved in the production of certain neurotransmitters, such as acetylcholine, which is involved in learning, memory and mood regulation.

But where do we find it? In many of our foods, such as meat, eggs, green leafy vegetables (spinach, kale, broccoli, etc.), legumes, wholegrain cereals and mushrooms.

In our MY Essentials serenity, vitamin B5 is synthetic. We made this choice for reasons of dosage. A natural vitamin B5 would have taken up too much space in our tablets.
